Programmable Low Voltage Warning Sounder Alarm Buzzer Indicator X

Ideal for Motorhomes, Campers, Vehicles and General Electronic Devices for indicating a low battery level WITH AN AUDIBLE WARNING, where an indicator LED may not be noticed

Specifications :

•       9v to 33v (max) DC supply operation.

•       Short term reverse polarity protected

•       0.5mA standby current, 70mA peak (approx)  when sounding

•       Warning point can be set from 10 to 29v.

•       Set to 12.1V from the factory (unless otherwise requested at time of order)

•       User settings  stored even when power removed.

•       60mv hysteresis to reduce false soundings on the “edge” of the trigger  point

•       Approx 90dBA sounder

•       Suitable for dry installations only

Function :

At power up, the unit will sound a single beep. The device will then scan the incoming supply over a 10 second cycle. The unit will sound a triple tone every 10 seconds if the incoming voltage has fallen below the alarm set point. The alarm is cancelled by charging the battery above the setpoint. A switch can be connected into the positive supply of the unit to prevent the sounder from repetitively sounding if the battery cannot be immediately recharged.

Fitting :

The device is supplied as an assembly with a NON-REMOVEABLE mounting bezel. The unit takes approx 25mm depth behind the rear of the panel. The device is a snap-fit into a 14mm hole.

Connect the RED wire to a positive feed (9v to 34v max) and the black wire to negative.

Programming :

As supplied, the unit is set to a 12.1v alarm point. This can be changed by means of the button on the unit. To do so, connect the unit to a supply that is at the level you want your warning to sound. For example, in the case of a 24.2v trip point, discharge your battery to the 24.2v level, or connect the unit to a known 24.2v supply.

Press and hold the programming button for approx 5 seconds. Once a single beep is heard, release the button. The unit will beep three times to indicate it has memorised the new low voltage warning level.

We offer a service, prior to shipping, of setting the unit to your required custom voltage. If you need us to set a specific voltage level for you, send us a message via the Contact Us feature at the top of the page BEFORE you make a purchase
